Cloonascragh AFC's John Dimson got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 11 played minutes, Cloonascragh AFC's Gavin McVictor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnold Deery came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cloonascragh AFC reached it. 12 minutes into the match, Boylan Silke notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Faughary AFC's Arnold Deery. Arnold Deery was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Cloonascragh AFC's Brendon Byrne got a free kick in the 15th minute. Philip Ferguson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 17th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. In the 23rd minute, John Dimson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cloonascragh AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Cloonascragh AFC's Philip Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breccan McTom in the 32nd minute of play. Egan McStephen took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Ferguson. Philip Ferguson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Egan McStephen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faughary AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Egan McStephen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Ferguson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Perry Dimson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Tipraite McBrandon kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Egan McStephen might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Philip Ferguson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egan McStephen ran back to his position shaking his head. Gordon Gough hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Gilian Grant, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Perry Dimson kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Egan McStephen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boylan Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Faughary AFC's goalkeeper Arnold Deery had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Dimson. Breccan McTom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egan McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Ferguson having to interfere. When Egan McStephen came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Faughary AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egan McStephen couldn't finish the play. John Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Faughary AFC's goalkeeper Arnold Deery, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnold Deery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boylan Silke in the 87th minute of the match. Faughary AFC's Arnold Deery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boylan Silke in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cloonascragh AFC's zone, Egan McStephen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Ferguson came out of the goal and Egan McStephen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egan McStephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Philip Ferguson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faughary AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
