Beary McBjarton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Conn Ghee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beary McBjarton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glen McLaughlin's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Ballynakilla Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conn Ghee to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute of the match Timothy Dunne shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beary McBjarton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With his leg Beary McBjarton managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Ballynakilla Utd's Conn Ghee fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ballynakilla Utd's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Kitchenstown FC's zone, Conn Ghee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beary McBjarton came out of the goal and Conn Ghee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Conan Dunne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ballynakilla Utd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Peyton Gillmour in the 91st minute. The corner ended in Peyton Gillmour almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kitchenstown FC's Beary McBjarton did a great save. Glen McLaughlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
