Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bevin Scully in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flann McGlynn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Roy Hunt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flann McGlynn was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Breenan McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Dimson having to interfere. Blathma Barrett kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. During the 26th minute of the match Sherlock Lavine completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sherlock Lavine a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 27th match minute, Tullaha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sherlock Lavine to maneuver through the defense. When Bevin Scully came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Tullaha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bevin Scully couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Clonee Utd getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Braeden Willson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Clonee Utd's zone, Roy Hunt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flann McGlynn came out of the goal and Roy Hunt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Clonee Utd's Duff Tierney dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Roy Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flann McGlynn having to interfere. Flann McGlynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Hunt, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Roy Hunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duff Tierney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Roy Hunt came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Tullaha fans jumped to their feet. After a rather tough play, Clonee Utd's Bearach McLian got a free kick in the 61st minute. Roy Hunt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Tullaha getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Bevin Scully hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Breenan McNamara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Duff Tierney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bat McJon charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bat McJon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tullaha booed when Clonee Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bat McJon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roy Hunt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flann McGlynn having to make a save. Flann McGlynn made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Roy Hunt sent off a good shot on target. When Braeden Willson fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clonee Utd's protests and gave Braeden Willson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Clonee Utd getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Braeden Willson hit a great ball. Darby Barrett hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Roy Hunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Clonee Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braeden Willson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
