In the 3rd minute, Paudraig Mullan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gattabaun's Bard Mullan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Gattabaun from getting a goal against them. Boethis McFrank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the match, Dooyork's Paudraig Mullan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bard Mullan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Dennis McWill made a precise shot to the right of Tormaigh Matthews. Dooyork's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A hard shot 15 in the game by Paudraig Mullan from a close distance when the talented Bard Mullan managed to make a qualified save. Gattabaun's players were relieved. Boethis McFrank was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Dooyork's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 19 minutes, Barry Glen Crowe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dooyork's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barry Glen Crowe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tormaigh Matthews showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babe Kelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes Gattabaun got a freekick which was hit by Derrick Gough. If Paudraig Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beatty Crowe struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Bard Mullan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dooyork. A hard shot by Beatty Crowe from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Bard Mullan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 36th minute of the match, Barry Glen Crowe got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bard Mullan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paudraig Mullan in the 38th minute of play forced Gattabaun's goalkeeper Bard Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Boethis McFrank managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dooyork's supporters rose to their feet, but Boethis McFrank was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bard Mullan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paudraig Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Bard Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Dooyork got a freekick which was hit by Beatty Crowe. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paudraig Mullan made a kick off. Boethis McFrank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bard Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donan McTom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Tormaigh Matthews made a huge save. In the 58th minute Gattabaun were awarded a corner. Artuir Morrison went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Derrick Gough managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a little luck, Dooyork's Tormaigh Matthews got control of the ball when Donan McTom tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Artuir Morrison fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gattabaun's protests and gave Artuir Morrison a yellow card for diving instead. Artuir Morrison kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Dooyork's Beatty Crowe got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 74 minutes, Paudraig Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dooyork's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paudraig Mullan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Paudraig Mullan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Dooyork's goal looked a bit too open when Logan Caffrey came free, but Tormaigh Matthews reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Dooyork getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Tevis Duggan hit a great ball. Donan McTom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tormaigh Matthews having to interfere. Tormaigh Matthews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Dooyork failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
