Spectators: 6770 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Loughlin Silke made the kick off which started today's match. Sherlock Lavine hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When Roy Hunt came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Tullaha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Hunt couldn't finish the play. If Bevin Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute Roy Hunt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Todd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bradley Dimson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loughlin Silke in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Tullaha booed when Washington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Gallagher didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Austin Gallagher shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Harry Todd showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute Roy Hunt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Todd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roy Hunt struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Harry Todd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tullaha. Harry Todd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bevin Scully in the 38th minute of the match. Washington were furious when Glenn Delaney was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 48 minutes Washington's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Austin Gallagher who took care of the corner kick. Austin Gallagher made a great header on Tullaha's corner, it was just that Washington's Harry Todd managed to reach the ball for a save. The Washington players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tullaha were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bevin Scully stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roy Hunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bevin Scully was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Tullaha's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Bevin Scully fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Todd having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bevin Scully in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harry Todd saved Washington from getting behind. 70 minutes into the game, Austin Gallagher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tullaha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Washington the free kick. Brady Gallagher placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a defensive mix-up in Washington's zone, Roy Hunt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Todd came out of the goal and Roy Hunt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brennen Hutton hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Brazil Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bevin Scully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sherlock Lavine in the 87th minute of play forced Washington's goalkeeper Harry Todd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roy Hunts short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Harry Todd to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 94 minutes into the match, Washington's goal looked a bit too open when Bevin Scully came free, but Harry Todd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bevin Scully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98th minute Bevin Scully shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Todd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Tullaha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tullaha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
