Glenn Delaney kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loughlin Silke to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Washington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brennen Hutton to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Washington's zone, Brett Hutton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Todd came out of the goal and Brett Hutton tried to chip the ball over his head. After some careless play in the Washington defense, Paudraig Mullan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harry Todd. The Washington fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harry Todd should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the game, Daniel Gallagher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Washington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dooyork the free kick. Harry Todd came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Dooyork's Boethis McFrank. But to his dismay, Boethis McFrank quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 83rd minute of the match Philip McBrandon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Harry Todd skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Washington defense, Brett Hutton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harry Todd. The Washington fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harry Todd should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute, Loughlin Silke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paudraig Mullan struck a weak shot in the 91st minute.
