After 3 played minutes Kitchenstown FC got a freekick which was hit by Brite Kelly. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bragan McDecland got free with Beary McBjarton in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Kitchenstown FC's Brion McMichel got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 11th match minute, Derren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gehan Savic to maneuver through the defense. Brigid Doherty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Lavine in the 13th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Bairee Myler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damian Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Brigid Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Barde Hamilton 's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brigid Doherty was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Gehan Savic hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Brigid Doherty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Lavine, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Barde Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Brigid Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bragan McDecland in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Beary McBjarton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ros Doherty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Kitchenstown FC's Gilbert Coyle got a free kick in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Kitchenstown FC's Conan Dunne got a free kick in the 31st minute. Brennon Ryan's shot from long distance in the 32nd minute was not bad at all, but Kitchenstown FC's Beary McBjarton knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Bragan McDecland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beary McBjarton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Barde Hamilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ros Doherty made a kick off. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kitchenstown FC's goalkeeper Beary McBjarton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59thth minute of the game Ros Doherty who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kitchenstown FC's Beary McBjarton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Derren's Brigid Doherty proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Derren from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Bragan McDecland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derren's supporters rose to their feet, but Bragan McDecland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beary McBjarton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 70 minutes, Bragan McDecland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Derren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bragan McDecland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brigid Doherty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barde Hamilton in the 80th minute of the match. Bragan McDecland took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beary McBjarton. Beary McBjarton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 92nd match minute, Derren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gehan Savic to maneuver through the defense.
