Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ballynakilla Utd's Torrans Glen Crowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breccan McTom in the 4th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Ballynakilla Utd's goalkeeper Torrans Glen Crowe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egan McStephen. Torrans Glen Crowe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egan McStephen in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breccan McTom in the 16th minute of play forced Ballynakilla Utd's goalkeeper Torrans Glen Crowe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Treno McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnold Deery stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conn Ghee's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After 24 minutes, Glen McLaughlin made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Faughary AFC's Arnold Deery tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conn Ghee in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnold Deery prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Ballynakilla Utd's Treno Ramsey got a free kick in the 31st minute. Gilian Grant was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Arnold Deery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glen McLaughlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Conn Ghee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Arnold Deery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Torrans Glen Crowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egan McStephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Glen McLaughlin in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnold Deery saved Faughary AFC from getting behind. After 63 minutes, Doney Colwell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballynakilla Utd and the Faughary AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Doney Colwell hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Glen McLaughlin charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glen McLaughlin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Glen McLaughlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glen McLaughlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnold Deery having to interfere. Torrans Glen Crowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breccan McTom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Egan McStephen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Torrans Glen Crowe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The long shot by Boylan Lester in the 84th minute really tested Arnold Deery's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Ballynakilla Utd booed when Faughary AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timothy Gillmour didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Glen McLaughlin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 87 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Arnold Deery was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Torrans Glen Crowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egan McStephen in the 90th minute of play. If Glen McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Ballynakilla Utd players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
