Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Glen McLaughlin got the match started through his kick off. Treno Ramsey kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After 10 played minutes Ballynakilla Utd got a freekick which was hit by Treno Ramsey. Brazil Dempsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loughlin Silke in the 18th minute of play forced Ballynakilla Utd's goalkeeper Torrans Glen Crowe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conn Ghee in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harry Todd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute Glen McLaughlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Todd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Washington's goal looked a bit too open when Glen McLaughlin came free, but Harry Todd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Rorke Brennan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Washington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballynakilla Utd the free kick. In the 35th minute, Rorke Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glen McLaughlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Todd having to interfere. Doney Colwell's late challenge caught a Washington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doney Colwell helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Ballynakilla Utd got a freekick which was hit by Doney Colwell. After 45 played minutes, Ballynakilla Utd's Barcvni Doyle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Harry Todd came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ballynakilla Utd reached it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Loughlin Silke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Loughlin Silke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Torrans Glen Crowe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 56 minutes into the game, Glen McLaughlin lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Harry Todd. 60 minutes into the match, Washington's goal looked a bit too open when Glen McLaughlin came free, but Harry Todd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes Washington got a freekick which was hit by Hugh Bayes. With a little luck, Washington's Harry Todd got control of the ball when Conn Ghee tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harry Todd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glen McLaughlin's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Washington's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peyton Gillmour was slow to take the kick. During this time Ballynakilla Utd's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Ballynakilla Utd's Pearce Bayes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Conn Ghee blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harry Todd having to make a save. Glen McLaughlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Harry Todd was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Glen McLaughlin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 90 minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
