In the 14thth minute of the game Donegal McLiam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inchibeg's Gehan Palmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Blathma Sheridan hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Donegal McLiam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Aaden Branson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inchibeg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coalbrook FC the free kick. The supporters of Coalbrook FC booed when Inchibeg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaden Branson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Phillip McJohnny during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Phillip McJohnny hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Coalbrook FC were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Inchibeg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baolach Gallagher took the corner. At last the ball reached Donegal McLiam at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Inchibeg. 0-1. Bhrighde Brennan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 31st match minute, Inchibeg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevion Perth to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Inchibeg's zone, Donelle Prunty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gehan Palmer came out of the goal and Donelle Prunty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donegal McLiam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Doyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Loughlin McJon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Inchibeg's Blathma Sheridan got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute, Donegal McLiam made a precise shot to the right of Gehan Palmer. Inchibeg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Inchibeg booed when Coalbrook FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caolán Martyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Loughlin McJon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Doyle in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alan Doyle to strike the kick off in the second half. If Beartlai McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Coalbrook FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Doyle came free, but Loughlin McJon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Coalbrook FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
