Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) Lawrence Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gehan Palmer having to interfere. After 4 minutes, Blathma Sheridan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inchibeg and the Ardloy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ardloy booed when Inchibeg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blathma Sheridan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Inchibeg's zone, Lawrence Rogers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gehan Palmer came out of the goal and Lawrence Rogers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boyce McDecland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Doyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. A hard shot by Donlevy Horgan from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Gehan Palmer's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Beartlai McGlenn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute Beartlai McGlenn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyce McDecland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alan Doyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31stth minute of the game Beartlai McGlenn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ardloy's Boyce McDecland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kevion Perth hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Inchibeg's Gehan Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearroid Gough in the 35th minute of play. When Lawrence Rogers fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ardloy's protests and gave Lawrence Rogers a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Ardloy got a freekick which was hit by Lawrence Rogers. Gearroid Gough could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Gehan Palmer made a huge save.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gearroid Gough made a kick off. Gearroid Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gehan Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Ardloy's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Doyle came free, but Boyce McDecland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 minutes of play Inchibeg's Blathma Sheridan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 58th minute, Blathma Sheridan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Inchibeg's zone, Gearroid Gough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gehan Palmer came out of the goal and Gearroid Gough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Beartlai McGlenn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inchibeg's supporters rose to their feet, but Beartlai McGlenn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boyce McDecland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beartlai McGlenn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Aaden Branson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inchibeg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaden Branson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the game, one of Inchibeg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Ardloy. Teris McTommy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gehan Palmer. 1-0. Gehan Palmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gearroid Gough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lawrence Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Ardloy defense, Brenan McPaul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boyce McDecland. The Ardloy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boyce McDecland should have stopped the shot. Brenan McPaul could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Boyce McDecland made a huge save. When Beartlai McGlenn came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Inchibeg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beartlai McGlenn couldn't finish the play. Inchibeg were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
