The audience was convinced that Ryan Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brasil Robinson was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. 32 minutes into the game, Ryan Byrne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Brasil Robinson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute Derrick Molloy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eoin Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Brigid Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 minutes, Toran McSteve made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Corrawaleen's Brasil Robinson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Bard McFrank charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bard McFrank the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bard McFrank didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Corrawaleen's goalkeeper Brasil Robinson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trien Martyn. When Brigid Robinson came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Corrawaleen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brigid Robinson couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Kevin Sheridan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corrawaleen's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Sheridan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eoin Horgan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 60 played minutes Corrawaleen got a freekick which was hit by Brigid Robinson. After a defensive mix-up in Corrawaleen's zone, Toran McSteve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brasil Robinson came out of the goal and Toran McSteve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Corrawaleen's Brasil Robinson got control of the ball when Ryan Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toran McSteve recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Brennan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Reilly Lester hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Trien Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryan Byrne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brasil Robinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Ryan Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brasil Robinson having to interfere. Kevin Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Eoin Horgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
