Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Herne Cronin made the kick off which started today's match. 8 minutes into the match, Ballyeighan's goal looked a bit too open when Barhart McTom came free, but Rylee Moran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Herne Cronin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballyeighan's Rylee Moran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ballyeighan's Beachain McOliver got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gortnagroagh's Beglan Palmer got a free kick in the 17th minute. Cathal Dempsey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Boru Keegan made a huge save. Boru Keegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beachain McOliver in the 33rd minute of play. Herne Cronin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herne Cronin took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rylee Moran. Rylee Moran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Ballyeighan defense, Barhart McTom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rylee Moran. The Ballyeighan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rylee Moran should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herne Cronin in the 46th minute of play forced Ballyeighan's goalkeeper Rylee Moran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Braonain Cronin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballyeighan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gortnagroagh the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ballyeighan's Braonain Cronin got a free kick in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beachain McOliver to make the kick off. Gortnagroagh's Barhart McTom got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Cathal Dempsey fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballyeighan's protests and gave Cathal Dempsey a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Kelly got free with Rylee Moran in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rylee Moran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barhart McTom in the 62nd minute. Tierney Dillon kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Gortnagroagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herne Cronin to maneuver through the defense. Boru Keegan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cathal Dempsey's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Boru Keegan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beachain McOliver in the 70th minute of the match. Kyle Dimson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Cathal Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boru Keegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beachain McOliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boru Keegan having to interfere. After 97 played minutes Gortnagroagh got a freekick which was hit by Kyle Dimson. When the match was over Gortnagroagh could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ballyeighan throughout the match.
