The referee showed Douglas Doyle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Croithli AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Doyle to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes Croithli AFC got a freekick which was hit by Boylan McMichel. After a rather tough play, Croithli AFC's Andrew Hamilton got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 22 minutes of play, Ballyeighan's Donlan Mullan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Irving Rogers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Irving Rogers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cathal Dempsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ballyeighan getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Braonain Cronin hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the game, Berry Byrne threw the ball into play from the sideline. Croithli AFC's Boylan McMichel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With his leg Rylee Moran managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Croithli AFC's Braon McCollion fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Irving Rogers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donlan Mullan went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute Beachain McOliver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irving Rogers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Croithli AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Douglas Doyle hit a great ball. Irving Rogers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braonain Cronin in the 41st minute of play. Irving Rogers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donlan Mullan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bree McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 played minutes Croithli AFC got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Doyle. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Braon McCollion to strike the kick off in the second half. Irving Rogers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berry Byrne in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute of the match, Cathal Dempsey got a very nice opportunity to score, but Irving Rogers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Ballyeighan booed when Croithli AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boylan McMichel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irving Rogers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cathal Dempsey in the 59th minute. Braonain Cronin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Irving Rogers made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braonain Cronin got free with Irving Rogers in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Irving Rogers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donlan Mullan in the 66th minute of play. Irving Rogers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beachain McOliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas Doyle kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ballyeighan's Irving Doyle shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Irving Rogers but with some difficulty. Donlan Mullan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Irving Rogers came out and tried to block the shot, but Donlan Mullan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 75th minute. After 80 played minutes Ballyeighan got a freekick which was hit by Beachain McOliver. After 82 minutes Ballyeighan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pearson Bayes who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Pearson Bayes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rylee Moran quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Braonain Cronin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Irving Rogers made a huge save. 90 minutes into the match, Beachain McOliver dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Irving Rogers, 1-4. Croithli AFC's Irving Rogers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beachain McOliver in the 96th minute of play. Ballyeighan played a much better game than Croithli AFC and deserved their victory. The Croithli AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
