Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Herne Cronin started the match with the kick off. Boru Keegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keeghan McDonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Keeghan McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Banban McGlynn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boru Keegan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Herne Cronin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gortnagroagh's supporters rose to their feet, but Herne Cronin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bairrionn Deans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, Ballydehob AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Herne Cronin came free, but Bairrionn Deans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ballydehob AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Brennon Willson hit a great ball. When Ballydehob AFC's Keeghan McDonald in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gortnagroagh's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gortnagroagh's zone, Banban McGlynn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boru Keegan came out of the goal and Banban McGlynn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Banban McGlynn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boru Keegan was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Herne Cronin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bairrionn Deans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Ballydehob AFC got a freekick which was hit by Logan McNamara. Gortnagroagh's Boru Keegan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keeghan McDonald in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Keeghan McDonald made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herne Cronin in the 54th minute of play forced Ballydehob AFC's goalkeeper Bairrionn Deans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bairrionn Deans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barhart McTom, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Carson Perth kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Gerard Caffey, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Banban McGlynn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Boru Keegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boru Keegan made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Banban McGlynn sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute Banban McGlynn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boru Keegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Ballydehob AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carson Perth to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rordan Colwell during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rordan Colwell kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Banban McGlynn got free with Boru Keegan in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute Barhart McTom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bairrionn Deans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
