Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Ardloy's Gearroid Gough started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Ardloy's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Sheridan came free, but Boyce McDecland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corrawaleen's Brasil Robinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearroid Gough in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute of the match, Brigid Robinson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Boyce McDecland was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Gearroid Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kevin Sheridan in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boyce McDecland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gearroid Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gearroid Gough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brasil Robinson having to interfere. If Lawrence Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Gearroid Gough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardloy's supporters rose to their feet, but Gearroid Gough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brasil Robinson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Corrawaleen defense, Gearroid Gough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brasil Robinson. The Corrawaleen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brasil Robinson should have stopped the shot. Gearroid Gough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corrawaleen were furious when Brady McJohnny was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 46th minute, one of Corrawaleen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Corrawaleen. The referee gave Ardloy a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teris McTommy, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Corrawaleen's Brasil Robinson. 0-2. The Corrawaleen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ardloy were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brigid Robinson to strike the kick off in the second half. If Brigid Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lawrence Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Ardloy's Gearroid Gough slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Brasil Robinson. That made the score 0-3 after 62 minutes of play. Lawrence Rogers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Brasil Robinson made a huge save. Boyce McDecland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beolagh Willson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gehan Taylor hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When Brigid Robinson came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Corrawaleen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brigid Robinson couldn't finish the play. Lawrence Rogerss short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Brasil Robinson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Lawrence Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corrawaleen's Derrick Molloy got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Brigid Robinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyce McDecland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gearroid Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brasil Robinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gearroid Gough in the 98th minute of the match. Ardloy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
