Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Séamus McPaul started the match with the kick off. Séamus McPaul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Mack Hutton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baydan Hutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boland Bayes having to interfere. With his leg Boland Bayes managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Castleore FC's Harkin McPhil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 17thth minute of the game Baydan Hutton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Killinkere's Boland Bayes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute Baydan Hutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boland Bayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Castleore FC's goal looked a bit too open when Samueil McCollion came free, but Mack Hutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samueil McCollion in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mack Hutton saved Castleore FC from getting behind. The supporters of Killinkere booed when Castleore FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendann Molloy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Brendanus Callaghan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Castleore FC's Mack Hutton didn't even have to move. If Baydan Hutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 35 minutes, Harkin McPhil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castleore FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harkin McPhil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baydan Hutton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boland Bayes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Harkin McPhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th match minute, Killinkere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brendanus Callaghan to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Desmond Tierney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baydan Hutton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Harkin McPhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Castleore FC's Bryan McPhilip got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Séamus McPaul in the 55th minute of play forced Castleore FC's goalkeeper Mack Hutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boland Bayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harkin McPhil, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Killinkere's goal looked a bit too open when Baydan Hutton came free, but Boland Bayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Castleore FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Killinkere's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Desmond Tierney took the corner. Castleore FC's Desmond Tierney was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Boland Bayes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 71 minutes, Bercan McLian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castleore FC and the Killinkere players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Bercan McLian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute of the match Brendanus Callaghan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mack Hutton skillfully saved the ball. In the 74th match minute, Castleore FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brendann Molloy to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
