Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Breffni McJohn started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braeden McSteve got free with Shane Coyle in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shane Coyle was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Berrigan McPaul. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Breffni McJohn took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Shane Coyle to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Braeden McSteve managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greencastle FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Braeden McSteve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shane Coyle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shane Coyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breffni McJohn in the 19th minute of the match. Braeden McSteve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clontarf's Shane Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breffni McJohn in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the Clontarf defense, Braeden McSteve kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shane Coyle. The Clontarf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shane Coyle should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Clontarf booed when Greencastle FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin McBjarton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Branagain Palmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clontarf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Breffni McJohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Braeden McSteve came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Greencastle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braeden McSteve couldn't finish the play. If Breffni McJohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dawayne Morrison made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Dawayne Morrison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Greencastle FC's Breffni McJohn in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clontarf's goalie prevented a goal. Clontarf's Shane Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braeden McSteve in the 60th minute of play. If Braeden McSteve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Clontarf getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Bryan Dillon hit a great ball. In the 64th minute Braeden McSteve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Breffni McJohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Breffni McJohn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Breffni McJohn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Coyle having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Breffni McJohn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shane Coyle was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 79th minute Braeden McSteve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breffni McJohn in the 91st minute of play forced Clontarf's goalkeeper Shane Coyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Greencastle FC booed when Clontarf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braonain McSteve didn't get a good kick on the ball. Braeden McSteve struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Shane Coyle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Greencastle FC. Branagain Palmer struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Irving McTom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clontarf. For all the effort they put into the match, the Clontarf players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Greencastle FC.
