Irving McTom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Séamus McPaul, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Killinkere's Boland Bayes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Killinkere from getting a goal against them. Boland Bayes was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Breffni McJohn capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Breffni McJohn really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. When Killinkere's Séamus McPaul in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 52 played minutes Séamus McPaul rounded Greencastle FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. In the 56th minute Breffni McJohn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boland Bayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Braeden McSteve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Killinkere's goal looked a bit too open when Braeden McSteve came free, but Boland Bayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Braeden McSteve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boland Bayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Greencastle FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Killinkere:s goal. Irving McTom went to the wrong direction when Brendanus Callaghan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Samueil McCollion's late challenge caught a Greencastle FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samueil McCollion helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th minute, Samueil McCollion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the game, Greencastle FC's Breffni McJohn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boland Bayes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 78th minute, Bardain McFrancise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brendanus Callaghan, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Greencastle FC's goalkeeper Irving McTom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samueil McCollion. Dermot Caffrey hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breffni McJohn in the 94th minute of play forced Killinkere's goalkeeper Boland Bayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samueil McCollion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Irving McTom made a huge save. Killinkere's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
