Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Riddoc Gough kicked off to start the match. Baydan Hutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batt Kirby having to interfere. If Riddoc Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Whitefield's Batt Kirby got control of the ball when Harkin McPhil tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute Baydan Hutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batt Kirby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harkin McPhil in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Batt Kirby prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th match minute, Whitefield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Riddoc Gough to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Baydan Hutton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Baydan Hutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baydan Hutton was the one to do the kick off. Batt Kirby came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Castleore FC's Harkin McPhil. But to his dismay, Harkin McPhil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Harkin McPhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Castleore FC's Baydan Hutton got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Baydan Hutton made a precise shot to the right of Batt Kirby. Whitefield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Bryan McPhilip fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castleore FC's protests and gave Bryan McPhilip a yellow card for diving instead. Bryan McPhilip hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Whitefield's goal looked a bit too open when Baydan Hutton came free, but Batt Kirby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Riddoc Gough's late challenge caught a Castleore FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Riddoc Gough helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Whitefield's Riddoc Gough got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 69 minutes of play, Castleore FC's Baydan Hutton made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Batt Kirby was left in no man's land by his defense there! During the 73rd minute of the match Bryan McPhilip completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bryan McPhilip a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 74th minute, Bryan McPhilip hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Harkin McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Harkin McPhil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castleore FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Harkin McPhil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Batt Kirby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bar Harkin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Harkin McPhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 91st minute Harkin McPhil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batt Kirby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Harkin McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castleore FC's Harkin McPhil got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Whitefield players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Castleore FC.
