In the 5th minute, Branagain Palmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clontarf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Branagain Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burke Morrison having to interfere. Burke Morrison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dawayne Morrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Clontarf booed when Altakeeran was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brennon Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Branagain Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burke Morrison having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Dawayne Morrison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Branagain Palmer came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Clontarf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Branagain Palmer couldn't finish the play. Branagain Palmer struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Burke Morrison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clontarf. After 42 played minutes Altakeeran got a freekick which was hit by Philip Deery. Dawayne Morrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Darick O'Down was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Altakeeran's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clontarf the free kick. Darick O'Down hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Altakeeran's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bryan Dillon was slow to take the kick. During this time Clontarf's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Beacan Lavine to score against Burke Morrison in Altakeeran's goal. 2-0 after 55 minutes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dawayne Morrison in the 61st minute of play forced Altakeeran's goalkeeper Burke Morrison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Branagain Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burke Morrison having to interfere. Burke Morrison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Branagain Palmer in the 72nd minute of play. Burke Morrison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Branagain Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darick O'Down hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Dawayne Morrison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clontarf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dawayne Morrison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Branagain Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Burke Morrison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot by Cullan Crowe from long distance, 83 minutes into the match, got Shane Coyle's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Dawayne Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Burke Morrison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dawayne Morrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Burke Morrison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dawayne Morrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
