Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Whitefield's zone, Séamus McPaul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Batt Kirby came out of the goal and Séamus McPaul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Séamus McPaul's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Batt Kirby read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Batt Kirby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samueil McCollion in the 7th minute of the match. Samueil McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Batt Kirby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rannal Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, Whitefield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Riddoc Gough to maneuver through the defense. Séamus McPaul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Whitefield defense, Samueil McCollion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Batt Kirby. The Whitefield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Batt Kirby should have stopped the shot. When Riddoc Gough fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Whitefield's protests and gave Riddoc Gough a yellow card for diving instead. Riddoc Gough hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Séamus McPaul came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Killinkere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Séamus McPaul couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Séamus McPaul made the kick off in the second half. Batt Kirby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Séamus McPaul in the 54th minute of play. Séamus McPaul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Séamus McPaul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batt Kirby having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Samueil McCollion notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Whitefield's Batt Kirby. Batt Kirby was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 67 minutes into the match, Whitefield's goalkeeper Batt Kirby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samueil McCollion. Séamus McPaul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Whitefield's Batt Kirby got control of the ball when Samueil McCollion tried to sneak it across the goal line. Whitefield's Batt Kirby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Séamus McPaul in the 75th minute of play. After 76 played minutes Whitefield got a freekick which was hit by Riddoc Gough. Batt Kirby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Séamus McPaul in the 81st minute of the match. Samueil McCollion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Batt Kirby made a huge save. Batt Kirby made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Samueil McCollion sent off a good shot on target. Samueil McCollion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batt Kirby having to interfere. Batt Kirby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rannal Dunne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Killinkere left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Whitefield.
