Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Troy Mulvihill kicked off to start the match. Torrian Dunne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torran McLian in the 3rd minute of the match. When Hillside's Torran McLian in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cregganbaun's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th minute, Barclay Duggan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hillside fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 21st minute, Torran McLian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28 played minutes Hillside got a freekick which was hit by Teigue Gallagher. A collision led to Cregganbaun getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Keely Doherty hit a great ball. Torrian Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barclay Duggan in the 37th minute of play. Torrian Dunne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barclay Duggan's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Keely Doherty during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cregganbaun getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Keely Doherty hit a great ball. Torrian Dunne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barclay Duggan in the 41st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teigue Gallagher during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Barclay Duggan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Torrian Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barclay Duggan to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Cregganbaun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keely Doherty to maneuver through the defense. If Barclay Duggan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Payton McPhilip was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cregganbaun's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hillside the free kick. In the 64th minute, one of Cregganbaun:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cregganbaun. A collision led to Cregganbaun getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Iarla Todd hit a great ball. The supporters of Cregganbaun booed when Hillside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teigue Gallagher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torrian Dunne was a little too slow when Barclay Duggan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-3. Teigue Gallagher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Torran McLian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hillside's supporters rose to their feet, but Torran McLian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torrian Dunne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barclay Duggan might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torrian Dunne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barclay Duggan ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Barclay Duggan in the 84th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Torran McLian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torrian Dunne having to interfere. Torrian Dunne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barclay Duggan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torrian Dunne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barclay Duggan's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Troy Mulvihill in the 94th minute of play forced Hillside's goalkeeper Flannery McLiam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hillside's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
