Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Phelim Deery started the match with the kick off. Berchan Dalton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Finian Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phelim Deery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Berchan Dalton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Finian Branson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tipraite Delaney kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Donal Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bressail McFrank having to interfere. Don Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Bressail McFrank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Donal Morrison put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bressail McFrank. After a defensive mix-up in Upperchurch's zone, Don Sheridan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bressail McFrank came out of the goal and Don Sheridan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Upperchurch's goal looked a bit too open when Donal Morrison came free, but Bressail McFrank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Killian Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Finian Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donal Morrison was the one to do the kick off. Gortroe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Harold McTom in the 53rd minute. A well done corner resulted in Kaine Moran drilling the ball in to score 2-1 behind Upperchurch's goalkeeper. In the 56th minute, Donal Morrison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Gortroe's goalkeeper Finian Branson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berchan Dalton. 61 minutes into the match, Upperchurch's Berchan Dalton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Finian Branson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Phelim Deery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finian Branson having to interfere. With a little luck, Gortroe's Finian Branson got control of the ball when Phelim Deery tried to sneak it across the goal line. Berchan Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finian Branson having to interfere. In the 78th minute Phelim Deery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finian Branson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Gortroe's Donal Morrison made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bressail McFrank was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Phelim Deery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Don Sheridan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berchan Dalton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Finian Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Gortroe were victorious despite being under pressure from Upperchurch for much of the match.
