Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Beaumont FC's Blar Cronin got a free kick in the 4th minute. Barrie McGlynn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Troy Mulvihill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Blar Cronin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Beaumont FC's goal looked a bit too open when Troy Mulvihill came free, but Barrie McGlynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beaumont FC's Barrie McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Troy Mulvihill in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Beaumont FC booed when Cregganbaun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Troy Mulvihill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barde McMichel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Torrian Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hickey Silke, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Barrie McGlynn was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Cregganbaun's goal looked a bit too open when Barde McMichel came free, but Torrian Dunne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beaumont FC's Denny Morrison got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Barde McMichel came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Beaumont FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barde McMichel couldn't finish the play. Hickey Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Barrie McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hickey Silke struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Barrie McGlynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cregganbaun.
The wind increased when Troy Mulvihill made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Beaumont FC's Blathmac Dillon got a free kick in the 54th minute. Denny Morrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cregganbaun's Troy Mulvihill got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hickey Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barrie McGlynn having to interfere. If Hickey Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 73rd minute, Hickey Silke made a precise shot to the right of Barrie McGlynn. Beaumont FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Cregganbaun's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Denny Morrison 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Denny Morrison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Hickey Silke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barrie McGlynn was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. If Troy Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beaumont FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
