Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tathan McFrank got the match started through his kick off. Tathan McFrank recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute Tathan McFrank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradigan Caffrey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Séamus Myler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bradigan Caffrey. Shanacrane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Séamus Myler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 24 played minutes Knockatee got a freekick which was hit by Dewayne Perth. Dermot Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Knockatee's Donn McJon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bradigan Caffrey. That made the score 2-0 after 31 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dermot Prunty in the 35th minute of play forced Knockatee's goalkeeper Brenainn Gough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Séamus Myler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bradigan Caffrey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dermot Prunty to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Shanacrane's goal looked a bit too open when Tathan McFrank came free, but Bradigan Caffrey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Knockatee's zone, Brendann Callaghan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brenainn Gough came out of the goal and Brendann Callaghan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Petran Deery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bradigan Caffrey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tathan McFrank, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Tathan McFrank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Bradigan Caffrey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brenainn Gough made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dermot Prunty in the 66th minute. Birr Hutton kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Bradigan Caffrey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dewayne Perth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dermot Prunty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewayne Perth in the 82nd minute of play forced Shanacrane's goalkeeper Bradigan Caffrey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birr Hutton kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Séamus Myler came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Knockatee fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Séamus Myler couldn't finish the play. Dewayne Perth hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Knockatee's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
