Séamus Myler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Breannain Crowe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Tathan McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 minutes, Cleary Duggan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rampart and the Knockatee players grew even worse after the yellow card. Blaire Horgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. When Barclay Crowe fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rampart's protests and gave Barclay Crowe a yellow card for diving instead. Rampart:s Breannain Crowe showed great skill when he stopped Rordan Dillon:s penalty. Breannain Crowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Séamus Myler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Breannain Crowe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Séamus Myler in the 51st minute. Tathan McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breannain Crowe having to interfere. Rampart's Breannain Crowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tathan McFrank in the 56th minute of play. If Colmcille Sheridan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Rampart booed when Knockatee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dewayne Perth didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beothach Crowe during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Barclay Crowe kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match.
