In the 10th minute Colmcille Sheridan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradigan Caffrey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dermot Prunty might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Breannain Crowe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With his leg Breannain Crowe managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Shanacrane's Dermot Prunty fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dermot Prunty struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Breannain Crowe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shanacrane. Breannain Crowe was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Dermot Prunty capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dermot Prunty really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. The supporters of Rampart booed when Shanacrane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petran Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Rampart's Breannain Crowe got control of the ball when Dermot Prunty tried to sneak it across the goal line. Shanacrane's Bradigan Caffrey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaire Horgan in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Colmcille Sheridan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Shanacrane's Dermot Prunty got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shanacrane's Bradigan Caffrey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Shanacrane from getting a goal against them. Bealtaine Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Breannain Crowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dermot Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Rampart booed when Shanacrane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petran Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rampart's Barclay Crowe got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colmcille Sheridan charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Colmcille Sheridan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rampart's Colmcille Sheridan got a free kick in the 91st minute. Shanacrane's Bradigan Caffrey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Shanacrane from getting a goal against them. Barclay Crowe made a great header on Rampart's corner, it was just that Shanacrane's Bradigan Caffrey managed to reach the ball for a save. Shanacrane's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
