Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Donal Morrison made the kick off which started today's match. Don Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Beartlai Jameson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nobber FC's Teagan Caffrey in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gortroe's goalie prevented a goal. 16 minutes into the match, Berrin McBjarton notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gortroe's Finian Branson. Finian Branson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 23 minutes into the game, Berrin McBjarton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nobber FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gortroe the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nobber FC's Berrin McBjarton got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute, Nobber FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Donal Morrison fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 28 minutes into the match, Nobber FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donal Morrison came free, but Beartlai Jameson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donal Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beartlai Jameson having to interfere. If Don Sheridan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Gortroe defense, Berrin McBjarton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Finian Branson. The Gortroe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Finian Branson should have stopped the shot.
Kyle McSteven's late challenge caught a Nobber FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kyle McSteven helped the player get up and apologised. Kyle McSteven kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Nobber FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donal Morrison came free, but Beartlai Jameson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Finian Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teagan Caffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Donal Morrison came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Gortroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donal Morrison couldn't finish the play. When Donal Morrison fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gortroe's protests and gave Donal Morrison a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nobber FC booed when Gortroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donal Morrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Nobber FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Conor Deery hit a great ball. Beartlai Jameson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donal Morrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Don Sheridan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beartlai Jameson having to interfere. Don Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92ndth minute of the game Don Sheridan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nobber FC's Beartlai Jameson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Berrin McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
