The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torna Keegan to strike the kick off in the second half. Downies Utd's Torna Keegan got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Downies Utd's Torna Keegan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Torrian Dunne. That made the score 2-2 after 58 minutes of play. Keely Doherty struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Baoithin Byrne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cregganbaun. Bradigan Dempsey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Torrian Dunne came out and tried to block the shot, but Bradigan Dempsey slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 67th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Downies Utd walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
