Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Knockatee's Tathan McFrank started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brenainn Gough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradley McJohn in the 4th minute of play. Tathan McFrank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Séamus Myler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beagan Gough stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tathan McFrank's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. If Séamus Myler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Knockatee's Dewayne Perth got a free kick in the 12th minute. Brenainn Gough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradley McJohn, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Knockatee's Brenainn Gough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Payton Doherty in the 20th minute of play. Beagan Gough was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Séamus Myler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Séamus Myler really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Knockatee's goalkeeper Brenainn Gough, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Séamus Myler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 36 minutes, Séamus Myler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knockatee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Séamus Myler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tathan McFrank struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Beagan Gough didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knockatee. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Séamus Myler in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beagan Gough saved Clondoolusk from getting behind. Séamus Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bradley McJohn made the kick off in the second half. Tathan McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beagan Gough having to interfere. With a little luck, Knockatee's Brenainn Gough got control of the ball when Payton Doherty tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Séamus Myler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knockatee's supporters rose to their feet, but Séamus Myler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beagan Gough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Payton Doherty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Brenainn Gough made a huge save. Séamus Myler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beagan Gough having to interfere. Brenainn Gough showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley McJohn in the 78th minute of the match. Knockatee's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
