Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Troy Mulvihill started the match with the kick off. Conaill Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Troy Mulvihill, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Cregganbaun's Torrian Dunne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rowan Walker in the 6th minute of play. Keely Doherty kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Daithi Murphy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Torrian Dunne made a huge save. With a little luck, Cregganbaun's Torrian Dunne got control of the ball when Daithi Murphy tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Cregganbaun getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Payton McPhilip hit a great ball. Rowan Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Torrian Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torrian Dunne made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Daithi Murphy sent off a good shot on target. When Cregganbaun's Troy Mulvihill in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Torrian Dunne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rathkip. A hard shot 40 in the game by Daithi Murphy from a close distance when the talented Torrian Dunne managed to make a qualified save. Cregganbaun's players were relieved. Daithi Murphy took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Torrian Dunne. Torrian Dunne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rowan Walker made the kick off in the second half. If Rowan Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torrian Dunne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daithi Murphy's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Rathkip's Rowan Walker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torrian Dunne narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute Rowan Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torrian Dunne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Daithi Murphy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th match minute, Cregganbaun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Payton McPhilip to maneuver through the defense. Torrian Dunne was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Keely Doherty charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Keely Doherty the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Rathkip's Rowan Walker in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cregganbaun's goalie prevented a goal. Rathkip were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cregganbaun for a fine match.
