Killina's Oliver Cassin got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Killina booed when Meenaward Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aban Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brede McJames took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tirloch McOliver. Meenaward Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tirloch McOliver made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Oliver Cassin sent off a good shot on target. If Fionn Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Meenaward Utd getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Nollaig McGlenn hit a great ball. Brede McJames took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tirloch McOliver. Meenaward Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fionn Lester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nollaig McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Meenaward Utd getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Aban Benson hit a great ball. Fionn Lester's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tirloch McOliver read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Killina's Breen Lester got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fionn Lester in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tirloch McOliver saved Meenaward Utd from getting behind. Fionn Lester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tirloch McOliver having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Lochlainn Holt made a precise shot to the right of Logan Gollogley. Killina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Killina players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Meenaward Utd were winning 0-1.
A collision led to Meenaward Utd getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Nollaig McGlenn hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Cassin in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tirloch McOliver saved Meenaward Utd from getting behind. Lochlainn Holt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Gollogley having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fionn Lester in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tirloch McOliver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Meenaward Utd's Tirloch McOliver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fionn Lester in the 75th minute of play. With a little luck, Killina's Logan Gollogley got control of the ball when Lochlainn Holt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Tiarnan Scully managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meenaward Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiarnan Scully was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Logan Gollogley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tiarnan Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Killina's Jarlath Morrison got a free kick in the 96th minute. Logan Gollogley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lochlainn Holt in the 98th minute. The Killina supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Meenaward Utd's performance. The match ended with a win for Meenaward Utd.
