Dillon Huttons short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Artuir Cassin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Kilgolagh Utd's Kevis McBrand slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artuir Cassin. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. Artuir Cassin made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Dillon Hutton sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Bellacorick Utd's Theobald Keegan got a free kick in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kilgolagh Utd's zone, Boyne McJohnny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reilley Walker came out of the goal and Boyne McJohnny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Kilgolagh Utd booed when Bellacorick Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louie McDecland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dillon Hutton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Artuir Cassin made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyne McJohnny in the 30th minute of play forced Kilgolagh Utd's goalkeeper Reilley Walker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Dillon Hutton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilgolagh Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dillon Hutton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bellacorick Utd's Boyne McJohnny in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kilgolagh Utd's goalie prevented a goal. Bellacorick Utd's Artuir Cassin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paud Gollogley in the 42nd minute of play. Jonathan McDecland was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paud Gollogley was the one to do the kick off. Paud Gollogley's late challenge caught a Bellacorick Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paud Gollogley helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st minute, Paud Gollogley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th match minute, Bellacorick Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herne McGlynn to maneuver through the defense. Bellacorick Utd's Artuir Cassin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dillon Hutton in the 58th minute of play. Artuir Cassin didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Kilgolagh Utd's Dillon Hutton shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 63rd match minute, Kilgolagh Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ravan McIan to maneuver through the defense. Boyne McJohnny who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Reilley Walker when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 67 played minutes Bellacorick Utd got a freekick which was hit by Louie McDecland. In the 69th minute Dillon Hutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artuir Cassin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Brenan Rutherford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bellacorick Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilgolagh Utd the free kick. Reilley Walker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bellacorick Utd. Bellacorick Utd's Artuir Cassin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paud Gollogley in the 93rd minute of play. Artuir Cassin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paud Gollogley in the 95th minute of play. After 96 played minutes Bellacorick Utd got a freekick which was hit by Braddon Johnson. 97 minutes into the match, Kilgolagh Utd's Jonathan McDecland broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the referee ended the match the Kilgolagh Utd players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
