Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ballinamult Utd's Boyce Willson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peyton McAlphie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ballinamult Utd's zone, Derrick Delaney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gearóid Dimson came out of the goal and Derrick Delaney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gearóid Dimson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Derrick Delaney in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Peyton McAlphie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gearóid Dimson was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Hilltown's Derrick Delaney got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevion Deery during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Ballinamult Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevion Deery to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game Bannon McCready kicked a great long shot which passed Gearóid Dimson straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-0. One couldn't see Bannon McCready behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. The audience was convinced that Torna McCollion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bean Horgan was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Hilltown's Peyton McAlphie got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Derrick Delaney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ballinamult Utd's Gearóid Dimson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peyton McAlphie in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ballinamult Utd! The referee gave Hilltown a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bannon McCready, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ballinamult Utd's Gearóid Dimson. 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peyton McAlphie made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Kevion Deery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peyton McAlphie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gearóid Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56thth minute of the game Peyton McAlphie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballinamult Utd's Gearóid Dimson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Derrick Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gearóid Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Peyton McAlphie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hilltown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peyton McAlphie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Derrick Delaney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peyton McAlphie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peyton McAlphie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearóid Dimson having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Hilltown's goalkeeper Bean Horgan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torna McCollion. Tierney Myler charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tierney Myler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tierney Myler hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes, Hilltown's Bannon McCready shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gearóid Dimson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hilltown reached it. Ballinamult Utd's Cianán Morrison got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Cianán Morrison off the ground. Cianán Morrison kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Derrick Delaney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gearóid Dimson. Ballinamult Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Derrick Delaney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 95thth minute of the game Peyton McAlphie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballinamult Utd's Gearóid Dimson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hilltown fully deserved thier win.
