Rownun Glen Crowe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Dermot McBrandon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Brin Holt charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brin Holt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Achill FC booed when Inishnaneill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brin Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Donall Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Baird Bayes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donall Cassin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blanche O'Neill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donall Cassin in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brin Holt made a kick off. Dermot McBrandon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brin Holt in the 56th minute of play. Brin Holt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dermot McBrandon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Donlevy Rutherford hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Inishnaneill's Rownun Glen Crowe got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dermot McBrandon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rownun Glen Crowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Donlevy Rutherford charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donlevy Rutherford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Donall Cassin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Blanche O'Neill firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kaine Hamilton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blanche O'Neill didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donall Cassin went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Rownun Glen Crowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dermot McBrandon having to interfere. Dermot McBrandon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rownun Glen Crowe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donall Cassin struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Blanche O'Neill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Achill FC. Beamard Tracy kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Dermot McBrandon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brin Holt, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Iarla Prunty fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Achill FC's protests and gave Iarla Prunty a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd match minute, Achill FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iarla Prunty to maneuver through the defense. Achill FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
