Spectators: 6767 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bressail McJon kicked off to start the match. Kevion Deery kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ballinamult Utd's zone, Bola Dillon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gearóid Dimson came out of the goal and Bola Dillon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Bola Dillon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glenbonniv Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 11th minute Bressail McJon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gearóid Dimson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bola Dillon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gearóid Dimson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Kevion Deery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glenbonniv Utd's Bola Dillon got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Bressail McJon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glenbonniv Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Bressail McJon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gearóid Dimson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Kevion Deery fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballinamult Utd's protests and gave Kevion Deery a yellow card for diving instead. Kevion Deery kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Trien McAaron, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bola Dillon scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gearóid Dimson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Boyce Willson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bola Dillon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes, Aaron Rogers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballinamult Utd and the Glenbonniv Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. 36 minutes into the game, one of Ballinamult Utd:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Kevion Deery was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After the first half Glenbonniv Utd were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bairrionn Perth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearóid Dimson having to interfere. If Torna McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cianán Morrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bressail McJon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 68th playminute. In the 71st minute, Bairrionn Perth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ballinamult Utd booed when Glenbonniv Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donleavy Morrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Torna McCollion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballinamult Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torna McCollion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 91 played minutes Ballinamult Utd got a freekick which was hit by Bedilia Quinnless. Glenbonniv Utd's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
