Baunrosmore's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donlevy Rutherford was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Baird Bayes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baunrosmore's goalkeeper Baran Robinson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baran Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baird Bayes in the 18th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Blanche Glen Crowe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baunrosmore's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Achill FC the free kick. After 19 played minutes Baunrosmore got a freekick which was hit by Blanche Glen Crowe. Baird Bayes struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Baran Robinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Achill FC. If Baird Bayes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Achill FC's goalkeeper Dermot McBrandon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavin McNamee. Baunrosmore's Bard Deans pulled a muscle in his back after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Donavon Grant's late challenge caught a Baunrosmore's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donavon Grant helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Donavon Grant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baunrosmore's Donoghue Jameson got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Philib Beckett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dermot McBrandon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sherlock John fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dermot McBrandon having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Philib Beckett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baunrosmore's supporters rose to their feet, but Philib Beckett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dermot McBrandon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Baird Bayes made the kick off in the second half. Bradaigh Delaney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dermot McBrandon having to interfere. Baran Robinson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donall Cassin in the 62nd minute. Baran Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baird Bayes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donall Cassin got free with Baran Robinson in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baunrosmore were furious when Sherlock John was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 67th minute, one of Baunrosmore:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Baunrosmore. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Achill FC. Buach McSteve stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Baran Robinson. 0-2. The supporters of Baunrosmore booed when Achill FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donavon Grant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavin McNamee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Dermot McBrandon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavin McNamee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Baunrosmore's Keefe Robinson got a free kick in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Achill FC's Buach McSteve got a free kick in the 88th minute. Donavon Grant kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Gavin McNamee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Achill FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Baunrosmore's much stronger midfield.
