Donoghue Ramsey charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donoghue Ramsey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Cork was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donoghue Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. Aubrey McPaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torrey McSteven in the 16th minute of the match. Fionntán McBjarton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dermot Jameson, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When Aengus Keegan came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Tullykinroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aengus Keegan couldn't finish the play. After 24 played minutes Cork got a freekick which was hit by Donoghue Ramsey. Berrin McJohnny struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Aubrey McPaul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tullykinroe. 26 minutes into the game, Renny McWilliam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cork's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tullykinroe the free kick. 30 minutes into the match, Tullykinroe's goal looked a bit too open when Dermot Jameson came free, but Fionntán McBjarton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Cork was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fintan Duggan to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Torrey McSteven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aubrey McPaul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cork's Bedilia Deery got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute of the game Brite Crowe made a throw-in which Breasal Savic played forward. Bedilia Deery hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, Cork's goalkeeper Aubrey McPaul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aengus Keegan. In the 40th minute, Dermot Jameson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cork's Aubrey McPaul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torrey McSteven in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torrey McSteven stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tullykinroe's Fionntán McBjarton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renny McWilliam in the 53rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Torrey McSteven notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cork's Aubrey McPaul. Aubrey McPaul was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Torrey McSteven scored 2-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aubrey McPaul, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aengus Keegan in the 74th minute of play forced Cork's goalkeeper Aubrey McPaul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aubrey McPaul came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Tullykinroe's Aengus Keegan. But to his dismay, Aengus Keegan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some careless play in the Cork defense, Ron McIan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aubrey McPaul. The Cork fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aubrey McPaul should have stopped the shot. Berke McOliver's late challenge caught a Tullykinroe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berke McOliver helped the player get up and apologised. Berke McOliver kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of Tullykinroe booed when Cork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devlin Moran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tullykinroe's Berrin McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tullykinroe's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
