Bedilia Deery kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Aubrey McPaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Ramsey in the 16th minute of the match. Aubrey McPaul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Ramsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Tawnylea booed when Cork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bedilia Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. Braddon Gillmour made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dermot Jameson in the 29th minute. Dermot Jameson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Braddon Gillmour when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Cork's goal looked a bit too open when David Ramsey came free, but Aubrey McPaul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Tobin McSteven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braddon Gillmour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tawnylea's zone, Renny McWilliam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braddon Gillmour came out of the goal and Renny McWilliam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bairthmead Crowe to make the kick off. Aubrey McPaul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bairthmead Crowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Dermot Jameson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Tawnylea's Braddon Gillmour. Braddon Gillmour was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iarla Prunty took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Braddon Gillmour. Tawnylea's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 66 played minutes Cork got a freekick which was hit by Donoghue Ramsey. After a defensive mix-up in Tawnylea's zone, Dermot Jameson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braddon Gillmour came out of the goal and Dermot Jameson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iarla Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cork's Berke McOliver got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tawnylea's zone, Tobin McSteven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braddon Gillmour came out of the goal and Tobin McSteven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dermot Jameson struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Braddon Gillmour didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cork. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dermot Jameson in the 94th minute of play forced Tawnylea's goalkeeper Braddon Gillmour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Braddon Gillmour stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dermot Jameson's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cork had won after a very even match.
