In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cloghglass FC's goalkeeper Pierce O'Down, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Gavin Myler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pierce O'Down. Cloghglass FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gavin Myler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reilly Kelly during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brazil Gollogley missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 31 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Pierce O'Down right hand side. Eamonn Hughes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Bearnard Kelly when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gavin Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Troy Todd hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Gavin Myler succeeded in the game's 42nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Gavin Myler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Gavin Myler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pierce O'Down was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 58 minutes, Rory McWilliam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tullow FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rory McWilliam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gavin Myler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tullow FC's zone, Reilly Kelly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bearnard Kelly came out of the goal and Reilly Kelly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tullow FC's Gavin Myler got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Rory McWilliam fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pierce O'Down, passed just outside the right post. Bearnard Kelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eamonn Hughes in the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavin Myler in the 78th minute of play forced Cloghglass FC's goalkeeper Pierce O'Down to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rory McWilliam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierce O'Down having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavin Myler in the 89th minute of play forced Cloghglass FC's goalkeeper Pierce O'Down to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Cloghglass FC's goalkeeper Pierce O'Down had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brazil Gollogley. With a little luck, Cloghglass FC's Pierce O'Down got control of the ball when Rory McWilliam tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gavin Myler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Tullow FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cloghglass FC.
