The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bearnad McSteven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philib McFrancise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 played minutes Reagrove Utd got a freekick which was hit by Lochlainn Johnson. After 47 played minutes Ballybrittas got a freekick which was hit by Peadair Dalton. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barr McSteve made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barcvni Costello in the 59th minute of play forced Reagrove Utd's goalkeeper Paud Ferguson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barr McSteve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Reagrove Utd's Braddon Delaney got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Bealtaine McPhil kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match.
