Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Samuel Costello successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Beckett Coyle came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Cappanagh Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beckett Coyle couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Kiltullagh getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Shamus Jameson hit a great ball. Beothach McJohn had several of the Kiltullagh's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 11 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Samuel Costello as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 14th minute, Bivitas Deery got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bivitas Deery in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Braonain Robinson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beckett Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beothach McJohn, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 21 played minutes Cappanagh Utd got a freekick which was hit by Cacey Deery. Andrew McPeter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Breccan McDecland tried in the 90th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Braonain Robinson a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
