Scott Mulvihill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doney Taylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Sheskinapoll's goal looked a bit too open when Doney Taylor came free, but Scott Mulvihill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Doney Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lismore FC's zone, Jarlath Moran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph McLian came out of the goal and Jarlath Moran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jarlath Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph McLian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarlath Moran, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Sheskinapoll's Jarlath Moran in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 37 minutes, Jarlath Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sheskinapoll's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarlath Moran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Keegan Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph McLian having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Keegan Palmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sheskinapoll's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keegan Palmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doney Taylor was the one to do the kick off. Scott Mulvihill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doney Taylor in the 52nd minute of the match. Jarlath Moran took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph McLian. Joseph McLian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 61st minute, Keegan Palmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute of the match Harrington Tierney sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joseph McLian skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jarlath Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheskinapoll's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarlath Moran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joseph McLian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Keegan Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph McLian having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Jarlath Moran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joseph McLian was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Joseph McLian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarlath Moran, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 91st minute, Taveon McJohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Sheskinapoll were the better team. Sheskinapoll's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
