Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) Pierson Palmer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Taveon Caffrey during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Taveon Caffrey kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Davie Frankson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierson Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute of the match, Donn Robinson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Brigid Martyn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 14th match minute, Lack was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blanche McPaul to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierson Palmer in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davie Frankson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denny Moran hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Lack's Colm Callaghan, in the 23rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Lack. Davie Frankson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pierson Palmer went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gearard Willson kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Jarlath Sheridan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davie Frankson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierson Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Davie Frankson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colm Callaghan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

During the 60th minute of the match Taveon Caffrey completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Taveon Caffrey a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Donn Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colm Callaghan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Hermitage FC's goalkeeper Davie Frankson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Colm Callaghan. Colm Callaghan had several of the Hermitage FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 69 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Davie Frankson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Davie Frankson made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Colm Callaghan sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Hermitage FC booed when Lack was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Binne Todd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abbot Crowe struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Brigid Martyn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hermitage FC. Lack's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
