Spectators: 6767 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Taveon McBjarton started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Cloonfinish defense, Aodh McJames kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raymond Lester. The Cloonfinish fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raymond Lester should have stopped the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Grousehall's goalkeeper Payton Ferguson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugh Molloy. In the 20th minute, Hugh Molloy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cloonfinish fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience was convinced that Taveon McBjarton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raymond Lester was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Cloonfinish's Cian McJohn got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aodh McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grousehall's Payton Ferguson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Grousehall from getting a goal against them. Aodh McJames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Lester having to interfere. Cloonfinish's Raymond Lester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taveon McBjarton in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taveon McBjarton in the 42nd minute of play forced Cloonfinish's goalkeeper Raymond Lester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Taveon McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grousehall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taveon McBjarton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cian McJohn to strike the kick off in the second half. If Taveon McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Payton Ferguson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cian McJohn in the 55th minute of the match. Aodh McJames kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 61stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Cloonfinish's keeper Raymond Lester was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Raymond Lester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taveon McBjarton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Grousehall's Aodh McJames sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raymond Lester narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Grousehall booed when Cloonfinish was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bairre McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Taveon McBjarton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Payton Ferguson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cian McJohn in the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th match minute, Cloonfinish was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quirk McLaughlin to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Grousehall's Raymond Lester threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Taveon McBjarton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Aodh McJames might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raymond Lester. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aodh McJames ran back to his position shaking his head. 86 minutes into the match, Aodh McJames had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raymond Lester. Cloonfinish's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aodh McJames was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Aodh McJames was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Grousehall's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Raymond Lester made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Aodh McJames sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Cloonfinish getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Bairre McPeter hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Taveon McBjarton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Cloonfinish fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Grousehall were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
