A collision led to Kilcloher getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Loughlin Dillon hit a great ball. Patty Ramsey charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patty Ramsey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patty Ramsey hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Baoithin Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Baoithin Gough came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Leansaghane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baoithin Gough couldn't finish the play. Baoithin Gough could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Rowe Ryan made a huge save. Brian Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patty Ramsey in the 27th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Blathmac O'Brien cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Brian Johnson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st minute, Leansaghane's Tierney John seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tierney John the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Leansaghane protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tierney John had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Tierney John hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

51 minutes into the match, Baoithin Gough notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Kilcloher's Rowe Ryan. Rowe Ryan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Baoithin Gough scored 3-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rowe Ryan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leansaghane's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Blathmac O'Brien scored to the left of an out of position Brian Johnson, making the score, 3-3. If Baoithin Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
