Pierson Palmer kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When Jarlath Moran came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Sheskinapoll fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarlath Moran couldn't finish the play. Keegan Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Bree McDecland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Lack's Binne Todd broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 22nd match minute, Sheskinapoll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cormac Cronin to maneuver through the defense. When Keegan Palmer came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Sheskinapoll fans jumped to their feet. Lack's Brigid Martyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarlath Moran in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Sheskinapoll getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gearalt McAlphie hit a great ball. Binne Todd was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Brigid Martyn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarlath Moran's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Keegan Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brigid Martyn having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Lack's goal looked a bit too open when Jarlath Moran came free, but Brigid Martyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pierson Palmer was the one to do the kick off. Scott Mulvihill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aodh Costello in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Sheskinapoll getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bree McDecland hit a great ball. Jarlath Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brigid Martyn having to interfere. Jarlath Moran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Brigid Martyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bree McDecland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brigid Martyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarlath Moran in the 68th minute of play. Scott Mulvihill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierson Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sheskinapoll getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Blake Dempsey hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Pierson Palmer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Scott Mulvihill was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Gearard Willson's late challenge caught a Sheskinapoll's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gearard Willson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th match minute, Lack was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gearard Willson to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the game, Keegan Palmer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Brigid Martyn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute of the match Bradon McDonald sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Scott Mulvihill skillfully saved the ball. Coinneach Taylor kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Jarlath Moran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brigid Martyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scott Mulvihill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aodh Costello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarlath Moran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Brigid Martyn made a huge save. The supporters of Sheskinapoll booed when Lack was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blanche McPaul didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Sheskinapoll supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sheskinapoll would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
