Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jarlath Moran made the kick off which started today's match. When Keegan Palmer came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Sheskinapoll fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keegan Palmer couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute of the match, Cian McJohn tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Scott Mulvihill saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Scott Mulvihill didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 10th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 23 minutes into the game, Keegan Palmer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Raymond Lester was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keegan Palmer in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raymond Lester saved Cloonfinish from getting behind. Raymond Lester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarlath Moran in the 28th minute of the match. Hugh Molloy struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Scott Mulvihill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloonfinish. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheskinapoll's goalkeeper Scott Mulvihill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Teddy Ramsey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raymond Lester. Cloonfinish's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teddy Ramsey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Scott Mulvihill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cian McJohn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raymond Lester came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sheskinapoll's Keegan Palmer. But to his dismay, Keegan Palmer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cian McJohn was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Sheskinapoll getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Alfred Matthews hit a great ball. Ciarán McTom missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 54 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Scott Mulvihill right hand side. 62 minutes into the game, Jarlath Moran recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raymond Lester. Jarlath Moran showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cian McJohn in the 66th minute of play forced Sheskinapoll's goalkeeper Scott Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarlath Moran in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raymond Lester saved Cloonfinish from getting behind. Jarlath Moran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Raymond Lester made a huge save. Keegan Palmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Raymond Lester made a huge save. After 80 played minutes Sheskinapoll got a freekick which was hit by Baoithin Sheridan. Scott Mulvihill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cian McJohn, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Keegan Palmer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raymond Lester having to make a save. In the 87th minute Jarlath Moran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Keegan Palmer came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Sheskinapoll fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keegan Palmer couldn't finish the play. If Jarlath Moran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cloonfinish:s Raymond Lester showed great skill when he stopped Alfred Matthews:s penalty. 99 minutes into the match, Cloonfinish's goal looked a bit too open when Bree McDecland came free, but Raymond Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sheskinapoll's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
