The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Baoithin Gough got the match started through his kick off. In the 10th minute, Taveon Caffrey reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brian Johnson. The goal made the score 1-0. Brian Johnson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Taveon Caffrey in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Colm Callaghan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brian Johnson. Leansaghane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Colm Callaghan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Leansaghane were furious when Tierney John was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Leansaghane getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tierney John hit a great ball. In the 26th match minute, Leansaghane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baoithin Gough to maneuver through the defense. Brian Johnson made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Colm Callaghan sent off a good shot on target. When Bedilia Sheridan fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leansaghane's protests and gave Bedilia Sheridan a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Leansaghane! In the 35th minute there was a penalty for Lack. Binne Todd stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brian Johnson. 3-0. Leansaghane's Brian Johnson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Leansaghane from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd match minute, Lack was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarlath Sheridan to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Baoithin Gough had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brigid Martyn. Lack's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baoithin Gough was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pierson Palmer to make the kick off. With a little luck, Lack's Brigid Martyn got control of the ball when Baoithin Gough tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pierson Palmer scored 4-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brian Johnson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baoithin Gough got free with Brigid Martyn in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brian Johnson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pierson Palmer's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The supporters of Lack booed when Leansaghane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bourns McCready didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brian Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colm Callaghan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brigid Martyn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th match minute, Leansaghane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denny Caffey to maneuver through the defense. Pierson Palmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leansaghane's Bourns McCready pulled a muscle in his back after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 85 played minutes Lack got a freekick which was hit by Blanche McPaul. Henry Callaghan charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henry Callaghan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Leansaghane getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Henry Callaghan hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Leansaghane's goal looked a bit too open when Pierson Palmer came free, but Brian Johnson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 played minutes Leansaghane got a freekick which was hit by Bedilia Sheridan. 96 minutes into the match, Gearard Willson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brian Johnson. Leansaghane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gearard Willson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. There was no doubt that Lack were the better team. Lack's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
